
Zacznę sztampowo – piosenki, jak powszechnie wiadomo, są znakomitym narzędziem do nauczania języków obcych. Lata temu popełniłem tekst z pomysłami jak używać piosenek do nauczania języków, a niedługo potem opublikowałem listę piosenek, które można wykorzystać do nauki konkretnych zagadnień gramatycznych. Nadszedł czas na trzecią część trylogii – listę utworów do nauki słownictwa.
Listę stworzyłem według dwojakiego klucza – po pierwsze tekst piosenki może zawierać kilka słów lub wyrażeń dotyczących wskazanego tematu. Dla przykładu piosenki dotyczące roślin musiałyby zawierać nazwy roślin (rose, birch tree), miejsca związane z roślinami (field, meadow, garden), przymiotniki, którymi określane są rośliny (juicy, lush, greenish) i/lub czasowniki dotyczące roślin (grow, water, wither). Żeby spełnić drugie kryterium, wymagałem, żeby tekst zawierał wspomnienie tematu. Oczywiście ponieważ teksty piosenek bywają metaforyczne, piosenka zawierająca słowa dotyczące roślinności niekoniecznie traktuje o roślinności, niemniej jednak może być wykorzystana do nauki słownictwa dotyczącego roślin. Należy o tym pamiętać zwłaszcza wybierając utwory dla młodszych kursantów, bo mogą się one okazać albo zbyt metaforyczne, albo zbyt… dorosłe (vide 'Pads, Paws and Claws' Elvisa Costello). Zresztą piosenek z listy można używać nie tylko nauki słów z danej tematyki, ale również do wprowadzenia tematu. Wtedy metaforyczność jest wręcz zaletą, ponieważ nie pozwala go odgadnąć zbyt szybko.
Nie ma na liście wielu piosenek dla dzieci, chociaż te byłyby najprostsze do skompilowania ze względu na swą prostotę przekazu. Lista zawiera raczej piosenki dla nastolatków i dorosłych, niektóre z nich zawierają nawet przekleństwa i seksualne podteksty. Pamiętaj, belfrze, żeby zaznajomić się z tekstem piosenki zanim ją wykorzystasz na lekcji.
Wszystkie piosenki z listy były dostępne na ogólnodostępnych kanałach, na przykład YouTube, w momencie publikacji poniższej listy. Sprawdziłem. Nie mogę niestety obiecać, że wszystkie piosenki są miłe dla ucha i spodobają się kursantom.
Rzecz jasna, dziękuję z góry za wszelkie sugestie dotyczące piosenek, które można by wciągnąć na listę.
